R. Baronti.Dear Sirs:
Please excuse us for contacting you for a non-crocodrile related issue, but you backgrounds tells us that you are very knowledgeable of lather business and will appreciate veey much your advise.
Before explaining my need of advise, Did you ever got a reply to your crocodrile request?
In Panama there is a crocodrile farm, I know the owner. Perhaps she already contacted you, if not I could pass you her whereabouts.
Our company specializes in the Industrialization of Shark, and as you know shark hides have been used in leather production.
Several years ago we exported quite amount of salted hides to México (Yucatán) but the tannery closed. In view of expanding our production capacity of meat handling, we are studying the possibility of offering the hides for tanning and even to tan ourselves.
Would you give us your oppinion about the market for shark leather? Is it growing? Not much or good demand?
I will be very greatfull for any insight of this industry than you may provide.
Sincerely yours,
Luis Fernando Prado
