I have been asked by shrimp trawler operators off Papua New Guinea to investigate possible purchasers of skins from tropical sea snake caught during their fishing operations . Hundreds of snakes are caught per week and currently being discarded. Local approval for retaining and export of these snakes or snake products has already been obtained from the Papua New Guinea Government. This is a preliminary but serious inquiry and If your company is interested in receiving these whole snakes or skins (which have exotic, intricate and interesting patterns), please advise how skins should be prepared, preserved and shipped.
